I'm pretty sure I asked someone this before, but that person doesn't come on here and couldn't care less if I put it on here.
The question is really 2 questions, but whatever:
If you had the chance to change one thing you had done, would you? If you had to, what would it be?

Oxymoronic #2-Don't take yourself too seriously.
20 November 2008
MOOD:Maybe there's not a point in this, I'm usually a mix of about a million moods at once, it's hard to narrow it down.
SONG:Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet-Fall Out Boy(listen)
Sometimes I don't get people.
I mean, I know I am one, but I don't get myself either.
Know the feeling?
Anyways, what I wanted to say is that...well, I didn't really want to say anything, except that.
Yeah, sorry for the short column, but I felt I needed to write something.

Question Of The Week-Edition 2
19 November 2008
This week's question is a bit more serious. I've been wondering it to myself for a while now, and judging by some things that have happened over the last couple of days, and something my homeroom teacher told us, I think now would be an appropriate time to ask:
Does the saying "treat others the way you want to be treated" really work?
I'll put it into a scenario:There is Person A and there is Person B.
Person A follows the "treat others the way you want to be treated" and therefore is nice to everyone.
Person B is cold and vicious. The reasons for this can be anything you want.
Now, say Person B goes up to Person A, and starts telling them off for no apparent reason, is Person A really supposed to be nice to Person B, thus wasting time and energy and essentially becoming a doormat?
What do you think? Also, I know that if EVERYONE followed this, it would be better, but if someone was depressed or felt worthless, or essentially felt they should be treated like dirt, what would happen?

First of all, I think we need an official list of members. Just saying.
Anyways, last night, I was bored, so I went on here.
I was reading through some posts, and I realized that Ghazal had said the coolest thing and I had totally overlooked it.
So, in about 10 minutes, most of that being centering and cropping because there was a lot of space, I came up with this:Feel free to use it, but for now you have to upload it to imageshack or something. Also don't claim you made it; I was nice enough to leave my name up but if I find stealers, let's just say you want to sleep with one eye open -wink-.
So, do you like it? I think I will make a whole "Blue Tree" Series of tiny buttons, large buttons, Desktop Wallpapers, etc., but not now, when we have 2 (maybe 3) members.
Speaking of Blue Trees(Oh wow I'm writing in 2 blogs at once, it's hard work XD), I googled "blue trees painting" or something, out of boredom, and found the picture I used, which is a tree located at Mount Annan Botanical Gardens in New South Wales, Australia.
It was very ironic. Apparently, you can get married under that same blue tree.
Anyways, I think that's enough on Blue Trees, by the way, Ghazal, I already know what I'm getting you for your birthday =P

Question of the week-Edition 1
13 November 2008
I've decided that there are some very important questions that deserve to be answered and I'm gonna ask them!
So question numero uno, the first one, the one you shall remember until the very day you die(or, less dramatically, until a few posts later until it dissapears from the front page), is:
Why is it that black marker always fades to purple? Is there a secret correlation between the two?
-hath asked question here-
Answer on the Yahoo!Answers link, or if you don't have a Y!A account, in the comments. Y!A preffered, though.

Oxymoronic #1-
02 November 2008
MOOD:Heartbroken
NOTE:The name of this column at the time I wrote this was "Insightawesomeosity" and was later changed to "Oxymoronic" for reasons unknown to you.
I'm not feeling too awesome right now. Maybe I should change the name of my column to something that you can actually find in the dictionary. We've barely started; it can't be too late to change my name if Ghazal hasn't even chosen one yet.
This edition, I'm going to ask a lot of questions. Questions seem to be all that fills the empty spaces of my head, and I have this compelling need to ask them. Some people say that's healthy, but if you know what it's like to wonder all these things, that keep you awake at night from when you were so little you couldn't see over the kitchen table without standing on something, you know that questions can lead to overanalysis, and overanalysis can lead to confusion, and confusion leads to headaches and other unfortunate situations.
Sometimes, I underthink things because I'm thinking about something else too much. There is no balance.
Anyways, off to my list of questions, as it's nearly 10 pm and I want to go and think to myself.
- Why is it, that when something is so monstrously bad, it makes us want it more? I mean, if it's going to hurt you, what makes it so appealing, anyways?
- Why do people insist on pushing away those who care for them the most? Especially when they need them.
- Why do we take things for granted?(as in question number two) Everything disappears at some point. "Forever" is just a word people use to sweeten things, because we're all gonna die sometime anyways and you can't love someone when you're dead.(forgive my pessimism)
- Why am I forgetting all the questions I had? Ok, that's not really an "important life question," but if I rephrase it it can be:Why is it that I have so much to say, but when it comes time to say it, it all kind of just disappears?
- Why are people such hypocrites?

Slightly Insane- Defined
23 October 2008
Now, some people may consider it highly odd to declare themselves as slightly insane, but from what I have learned, acceptance is one of the hardest things to do in life, hence giving Jessica and I a rare trait. Anyway, there are many incidents in which "slightly" insane has not covered the half of it, but we try, we really do; to be normal. Though, from what I have experienced perhaps the life of the norm is not for a geek and a nerd, we are just different- and proud. Have you ever had a situation in life where you feel like changing yourself for someone else, and in the end realize that they were not worth your time and effort? Well being slightly insane means to oppose that kind of behavior and always stay true to yourself, because you only live once- why not to your liking? Anyway, as I mentioned, like throws many curve balls towards you, and you can either try to catch it like any other ball, or purposely run into the ball- get hit in the head- and have the person who threw it be kicked out of the game. What would you choose? I know what I would do, but then again I am the insane one...

Alternative- Defined.
14 October 2008
As Jessica may have mentioned, we have a fervor for alternative music, only it is not what you think. Yes, I for one adore Coldplay, but that is not really what we are getting at here. In our personal terminology alternative music is anything aside from rap/hip-hop/R&B/pop. Now, don't get us wrong, we like listening to the Jonas Brothers too, but what being an alternative-music lover means is you typically detest mainstream music, and fall away from the crowd, and create your own trends, not follow others. For example, we have a friend who used to read our blogs, (personal), and one day decided they were "really cool" and wanted to write one, we told her it was a lot of responsibility updating, and whatnot and that you can't write 4 posts and stop. She agreed, and now has a blog- on which she has posted, you guessed it... 4 posts. It just goes to show being "slightly-insane" is not as easy as you may think. Anyway, hopefully by reading this blog you will be inspired to express your individuality, and not be afraid to paint your trees blue. Stand up for yourself, and use big words!

The Non Preppy Alternative Music Loving Slightly Insane Bloggers
13 October 2008
Hey, I'm Jessica. My friend, Ghazal, and I, created this blog because we have this thing at school where the two of us are:
-not preppy
-probably one of the few people who don't really like hiphop, rap, and R&B that much(we call our music alternative because it's not mainstream, forgive us if that's not YOUR definition of alternative)
-Slightly Insane(probably more than slightly)
-well, we don't have a label
-and probably the only bloggers in our school(well, one of our friends is, but she's the bandwagon type, and we are the bandwagon)
We call it a cult, but that's not really what it is. It's more of a social group where we will
Now that I think of it, it'll be a great way for the two of us to stay connected in high school. But that's a year away.
Requirements for Joining
- Please make sure that 3 of these requirements apply to you, and that one of them is either 3, 4, or 7.
- non preppyness
- love for alternative music
- lack of a label(except when used for fun)
- a slight case of insanity
- have a blogger account
- ability to comment on this blog regularly
- lack of conformism
- literacy(ability to go for long periods of time online without l33t speak)
- ability to publicly follow the blog(see that thing at the side??)
- ability to link us on your blog
If you possess at least 3 of these, and one of them is 3,4, or 7, you're in! Just comment on the List of Members and you'll automatically be a part of the NPAMLSIB!
Anyways, that's our first post, which will be edited tons, believe me.
